TRAINING

Build reliable habits from source document to review.

Bookkeeping training helps participants understand how everyday records move into an organised accounting process. We focus on the tasks people perform, the checks they should make and the questions they should raise when information is incomplete. The programme is tailored to the record-keeping method or software used by your team.

Understand the record behind the entry

Topics can include invoices, receipts, bills, credit notes and the information needed to record them consistently. Participants practise recognising duplicates, incomplete documents and transactions that require clarification. We explain why a supporting record matters and why a bookkeeper should not invent a classification when the purpose of a payment is unknown.

Practise a controlled workflow

Exercises can cover organising source documents, selecting agreed accounts, recording transactions and preparing information for reconciliation. The emphasis is on consistent descriptions and an understandable review trail. Software demonstrations are limited to the environment agreed for the session; a training exercise should never alter live records without explicit authorisation and appropriate controls.

Know when to escalate

A useful bookkeeper knows the boundary of their role. Sessions can address how to record a query, seek approval and hand over unresolved items at period-end. We provide the agreed practice material and reference notes, with any completion record described accurately. Training does not authorise participants to offer regulated services or replace the business's review responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions

Can this be combined with software training?

Yes. A combined plan can connect bookkeeping concepts with selected Emnaro, Odoo or Zoho workflows, subject to the available environment.

Will participants work with real client data?

Fictional or anonymised exercises are preferred. Any use of business information requires approval and appropriate privacy arrangements.
